Hello,
Thank you for visiting our web site!
We look forward to working with you. Some of our clients have
asked how I got involved in frame making so I thought I'd tell you
a little about my background. I have always painted. In fact, I
was a portrait artist at the time I made my first picture frame
about 30 years ago. I decided to try framing because I thought I
could do it better at a lower price. Well, one thing lead to
another and I eventually started making frames for other artists.
My small business took over our basement and when it threatened to
take over the rest of our house, we moved it into a larger site.
Ken, my husband, came on board 10 years ago and does just about
everything, from cutting frames to answering the phone. He
oversees details, inputs orders and makes sure things are running
smoothly. Over the years, our product changes have often been
driven by artists. Someone would call and need a certain look and
we would come up with an answer. We got involved in the
manufacture of simulated gold leaf frames because an artist wanted
'seamless' frames. That was over 16 years ago. Since then we have
perfected our process based upon old-world techniques. These
improvements have lead to frames that give every artist a unique,
individual look.
Thanks to all our wonderful artists and gallery owners who
continually tell others about Glaser Frames; we have grown
phenomenally each year. We ship frames coast to coast and are
starting to gain clients internationally.
Again, thank you for calling about our frames. Let us know if
there is anything we can do for you.
Sincerely,
Joann Glaser
