Plein air frames are a specialty. We manufacture many profiles and finishes that are uniquely suited to plein air paintings. We also offer scoop profiles that are often used in plein air frames.

Portrait artists will especially like Glaser Frames. Our ornamented, carved and hand extruded corners enhance portraits making them more desirable. In fact ornamentation applied to the length of mouldings is also available. For example, by adding profile 702 around a 123 , 663, 124 or 123 then adding ornaments from our ornament list gives a very rich look at a reasonable price. Other frame combinations that go well with portraits are: 711Lg with ornaments 649 along the length and ornament 559 in the corners or 711sm with carved corner 464 and beading. A 1 inch or 1.5 inch buildup can be added to increase the depth of the frame to accommodate thicker canvases. The combinations of frames is almost limitless; we are available by phone to give you additional ideas.

The new Floater Frames have become desirable and we have recently added new floater frames to meet the needs of our customers. Floater frames are available in all finishes. Floater frames are appropriate to modern works where only a very thin moulding is visible around the artwork with a small space. Our floater frames have numbers starting with 901.

All frames come finished in one or more of our finishes. We leaf or gild frames in either silver or gold metal leaf. If Artists wish an antique silver accent around the inside edge or inside bead, we can do that at no extra cost. We have pioneered the Black over Red finish in which the black top coat of paint is carefully and artistically rubbed to let the red or other color highlights show through. In addition to Black over Red, we offer Black over Orange, Black over Blue, Black over Green, Black over Plum and Black over Yellow finishes. We usually put a distressed gold or silver inside edge or bead on our Black over finishes at no extra cost. These Black over frames give the feeling that the frame is very old, withstanding many years of rubbing and cleaning.

If you like a profile made by one of the companies that sell length mouldings, we can obtain the moulding, cut it to your exact size requirements, join the corners seamlessly, and finish the frame in one of our unique finishes. We can also refinish frames you already have.

Frame size is no problem. We have made frames as large as 8 ft. by 12 ft. and as small as 2 inches square. We do offer 5% discount on standard size frames. Our standard sizes are 5 x 7, 6 x 8, 8 x 10, 9 x 12, 11 x 14, 12 x 16, 16 x 20 and 18 x 24.

In addition to frames, we also offer glass, frame space, fittings and wires. We can also mount your canvas of Fomecor or Gatorfoam.

We ship to all parts of the United States and Canada, and in fact, to all parts of the world. We have shipped frames to Italy, Japan and England. We use UPS, Federal Express or other specialty shipping companies. If time is a problem we can drop ship frames to your gallery.
