Glaser frames
Family owned and operated since 1988, Glaser Frames manufactures closed-corner, gilded leaf and painted picture frames, with customized finishes ranging from classic antique to modern and contemporary.  Our frames are American-made with bass wood in the most environmentally friendly manner possible €”we pride ourselves on not ventilating strong chemicals into the atmosphere such as the eco-friendly, water-based line from Aqua Coat.

We are centrally located in Denver, Colorado and serve artists, galleries, and interior designers across the United States, and have worked with clients as far away as Italy, England, Canada, and Japan. We ship via Federal Express, and, if timing is an issue, we'€™ll gladly drop-ship frames to your gallery or client complete with hardware for quick and easy installation.

PLEIN AIR FRAMES:  We manufacture profiles and finishes that are especially desired by plein air artists. Our profiles 12, 172, 123, 124, and 472 are some of the most desired by plein air aritsts and on our gilded frames, we can add an antique silver bead (inside edge of the frame) on gold color leafed frames and a gold bead on silver colored frames at no additional cost.  Further, Glaser Frames actively supports and  sponsors several plein air organizations throughout the United States. American Women ArtistsWomen Artists of the WestPastel Society of the Southwest, and Plein Air Artists of Colorado. If you are interested in sponsorship for your organization, give us a call.

PORTRAIT FRAMES:  Our ornamented, carved, and hand extruded corners enhance portraiture, and with many frame profiles that are easily combined together and finished seamlessly, we can create wider, more substantial frames €”as wide as 14 inches! We can also include custom assembled stretcher bars with your frames so that paintings can be stretched on site and fit perfectly into the frame. Check out Coni Belleau Adam's choices on Clients Page .

MAKE IT YOUR WAY: Triptychs and diptychs, single or double-sided tabernacle, ovals and circular openings, even frames that have curved top openings €”you name it, we'€™ll make it.
Check out Custom Designs on the Our Frames  page.

UNIQUE FINISHES: We leaf (gild) frames in either gold or silver color metal leaf then apply the finish of your choice. Beyond leafed frames, we pioneered Black-over-Red finish, the artistically rubbed down look that lets the red (or any other under color) elegantly show through.  Check out Black-over-Orange, Blue, Green, Plum or Yellow, or try Brown-over, too. Of course, most artists desire gold or silver leaf €”we also combine these metals together as accents or individually with one of the Black- or Brown- over-color of your choice.

OVER-SIZE: No problem. We'€™ve made and shipped frames as large as 12 x 8 foot and as small as 2 ½ inches square. Using long lengths of raw molding, we cut frames to your exact dimensions when you place your order.

DAMAGE REPAIR: You pay the shipping costs, we'€™ll fix it regardless who caused the damage.  At Glaser Frames, the artists come first; we want our artists to be proud of using Glaser Frames as we are proud of the frames we produce.

GIVE US A CALL:We truly enjoy talking with artists; we truly enjoy solving framing problems even if it means developing a new profile or a new finish.  But besides that, we love discussing art issues with artists and art gallery operators.  Frequently, artists will email their artwork so we can frame it on their computer screen - giving them options on framing.  Call us at 800-308-8261  or email us at info@glaserframes

"I'€™ve been using Glaser Frames since Joann started her business out of her home some 25 years ago. They have consistently produced beautiful handcrafted works. The Glaser family is hardworking, fair & honest. They have come through for me on some pretty tight deadlines. Glaser'€™s experience and expertise has helped me with difficult paintings in particular warped and uneven canvases.  Joann often helps me determine what moulding and finish best suit any given painting. This has been invaluable to me as the right frame is an important final component to a painting. If you need a creative solution to display a work of art, 2 or 3 dimensional, Glaser frames is willing and able to come up with new ideas and products. I am most grateful, as well, for Glaser'€™s packaging and shipping services. This has saved me many hours of time to do what I love to do most, paint!"
